Cognizant to offer pay hike to 80% of its employees

Cognizant on Thursday said approximately 80% of its eligible employees would receive a salary hike, effective November 1, 2025.

“This aligns with its announcement during the company’s second quarter earnings that it plans to award merit-based salary increases for the vast majority of employees during the second half of 2025,” said a spokesperson at Cognizant.

According to the company, these increases will be delivered up to, and including, the Senior Associate levels. The amount of these increases will vary depending on individual performance rating and country.

“In India, pay increases for our consistent highest performers will be in the high single digits. Top performers will receive the highest increases. Earlier this year, Cognizant paid most of its associates their highest bonuses in three years,’‘ the spokesperson added.

TCS, the industry bellwether, too had rolled out a wage hike for about 80% of its employees, effective from September 1,one week after it shocked the industry by announcing lay off of 12,000 of its employees.
