    E-2W firm Quantum Energy breaks ground for 2 lakh unit facility near Hyderabad 


    Electric two-wheeler maker Quantum Energy is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram, near Hyderabad, with a capacity to produce 2 lakh units a year.

    The groundbreaking ceremony was conducted recently, and the facility will be ready in the next six months. It will be an integrated facility for the production of e-2W, and the complete production will happen from there, the company said to queries.

    Spread across 2.4 lakh sq ft near the proposed Future City, it will a net zero facility. The company’s existing manufacturing facility is in Patancheru, on the outskirts of Hyderabad and has a capacity of 1 lakh units per annum. The new facility is being set up to meet surging demand for electric vehicles, the EV startup said in a release on Monday (June 9, 2025)

    “As electric mobility gains pace in India, we aim to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient two-wheelers technologically advanced… this net-zero facility represents our vision for a cleaner future,” Managing Director Chakravarthi Chukkapalli said.

    This facility will also create significant employment opportunities in the region and contribute to Telangana’s vision of becoming a hub for clean and future-ready industries, Quantum Energy said.
