Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Inc., a subsidiary of drugmaker Sun Pharma, is recalling 5,448 bottles of central nervous system stimulant prescription medicine Lisdexamfetamine Dimesylate Capsules, 60 mg, CII, 100-count bottles, in the U.S.
The voluntary recall initiated by the company last month follows out of specification results observed in dissolution test during an analysis. OHM Laboratories, New Jersey, is the manufacturer, U.S. Food and Drug Administration said in its enforcement report. The product is used in treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and moderate to severe binge eating disorder.

Macleods Pharmaceuticals is recalling 9,888 30-count bottles of Famciclovir Tablets, USP 500 mg due to presence of foreign substance – black hair strand found attached to a tablet in a sealed bottle, the U.S. FDA said in the report. An antiviral, Famciclovir is used in the treatment of infections.
